Business Woman of the Year

The Business Woman of the Year Award is given to the woman who has shown success in the business industry. Strength, business savvy and innovation in their business strategies will be amongst the main aspects that the judges will be considering for this award. Judges are looking for a female entrepreneur who has demonstrated how she has successfully overcome challenges to build a strong, thriving company. Increase in profits and a solid business plan will reveal the success of the business. The woman who will take home the Business Woman of the Year Award will be an inspiration for all entrepreneurs to follow.

The Small Business of the Year Award is given to the company that is considered a small business and that has shown an increase in profits throughout the year as well as a solid business plan for a growth strategy. Judges are looking for small businesses that stand out from the rest. The small business that demonstrates innovation, leadership, smart business planning and potential for growth will be the winner of the award.

Judges are looking for small businesses that stand out from the rest. The small business that demonstrates innovation, leadership, smart business planning and potential for growth will be the winner of the award.

Small and medium-sized Canadian businesses who are growing and have less than 500 employees.

This is the perfect opportunity for entrepreneurs to demonstrate how far they’ve come in their business. It gives them the chance to show the challenges they’ve overcome and everything they have accomplished since making their business idea into a reality. Their achievements will be recognized and value by their colleagues and expert judges.

To enter, entrepreneurs can simply register online by submitting their answers to a questionnaire provided for the category they are entering. Each entrepreneur is authorized to enter up to three categories in the small (1-100 employees) or growing (100-500) category.

The last day to enter the nomination is December 10, 2019. Make sure to register now since entries are officially open!

Judges representing a variety of industries will shortlist all entrants into finalists for each category. 
After all entries have been considered, the finalists are invited to the CanadianSME National Business Awards.

Judging is based on the awards criteria answers and supporting documentation included in the entry.
